Why Creative Paradigm?
This website was born of personal need, and a need which I have witnessed in the greater community; for a place to share our creativity in tumultuous and overwhelming times. Our creativity reminds us of our shared humanity and the beauty and wisdom in our midst. That creative and reverent space yearns to be shared.
Our times are cataclysmic and can feel overpowering and confusing. I have found myself in deep sadness, heartbreak, anger and frustration, confronted with certain everyday realities. And at the same time feeling tender, amazed and in awe at the beauty and kindness around me.
A Need to Create Contrast
I feel the need to hold these opposite realities as I come to understand the importance of wholeness. And I believe these are feelings shared by many. When I connect to all of this, words bubble up from a deep and sacred space: creativity to contrast destruction.
The word Sacred is often linked to religious or spiritual concepts. For me it relates to a place deeply connected to life in all it’s sometimes contradictory, expressions. When we create, we connect with this space. Creativity is where the sacred can express itself.
“Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words, after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost, something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry.”

TRAVELER LISTENER POET
Welcome, I’m Leslie. I’ve been playing with words since I can remember.
Born and raised in Argentina in a British/Irish Family, I have lived in many places, and spent most of my adult life in French speaking Switzerland. For a long time, my voice was influenced and constricted by Catholicism, and the military regime of Argentina in the 70's. Throughout my life and travels, words have been my solace, and sometimes, unrequested friends. They have filled journals, formed stories, and along the way, become a novel.
Pandemic isolation took me back to my first love: poetry.
At almost 63 I feel a clearer voice, born from all of life's experience. It has taken years to accept the source these words come from. To realise they aren't mine, they are sacred life asking to be expressed, I'm just an instrument of creation. As these aren't really mine, they yearn to be shared. That is why this website came about.
MY INVITATION TO YOU
If you so wish, join me and this small but growing community. Share your thoughts, your work, and your experiences with creativity, and with the sacred.
